DC Comics owns the rights to the history of the popular superhero's Justice League, also known as the Justice League of America. This original comic debuted in The Brave and the Bold number 28 in the spring of 1960. This fictional team of superheroes have actually appeared in several different DC comics. Additionally, the roster for the Justice League has changed many times over the years to include such heroes as Red Tornado, Zatanna and the Green Arrow as well as many others.
The team finally received their first notch in the belt of history when they finally received their own specific comic book title in 1960. These issues continued well up into the late 1980's. Throughout the many years they spent in print various teams have operated as the Justice League America. This has given the Justice League a variety of monikers. The Justice League International, Justice League Task Force, Justice League Europe as well as the highly hyped up Extreme Justice.
The history of the concept of the League has always remained in general popular with their fans. DC comics is always sure to provide their fans with new and improved creations. As they roll along they continue to provide the Justice League fans with aspect after aspect of new and improved additions and concepts for this team of superheroes. At one point even a live action show was in the works but was quietly canned late in the year 2008.Although creators still assure fans that a movie for this Justice League team is still in the works.
