The animated film known as Madagascar that was created in 2005 will always have a full history of its own. Produced by Dreamworks animations this children's movie debuted in theaters in May of 2005. The movie begins as the story of four Central Park Zoo inhabitants decide their lives spent in peaceful captivity may not be as satisfying as they thought. As the main character, Marty, voiced by Chris Rock is celebrating a birthday, he begins to reflect on his life in captivity and openly fantasizes to his friends about what it may be like to run in the wild.
As the history goes, after night falls Marty and his friends who were voiced by Hollywood names such as Jada Pinkett, Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer and others such as Sacha Baron and Andy Richter. This awesome animation was finally released onto DVD in 2008 and went on to be a top seller in Disney's long time of major hits.
The history of this classic cartoon is about to be expanded on as Disney and Dreamworks have promised yet another addition to the last Madagascar movie, that will be produced and sent to the theaters by the summer of 2012. Other characters such as Gloria the hippo and Alex the Lion also made great impressions on their audience and were also included in the mass produced toys and children's products bearing the Madagascar name. As the legacy continues with such a great following it seems likely that the Madagascar series will continue to expand regularly.
