	Medieval PARTY CRAFT IDEAS
To get into the medieval theme, even if it is a Harry Potter version, young partiers are sure to enjoy creating their own magic wand! You will need the following craft items: • Extra Long Straw material (often available in long sticks of bubble gum or containing sweet tart powder) • Craft glue • Gold or silver foil paper. • Pipe cleaner in coordinating colors To make this craft, you must remove the contents (if there are any) of the straws. They can be placed in baggies and given to the guests to take home) leaving one end closed. Cut about Three to four inches of the foil paper, and fringe the ends. Roll up sufficient quantities to fit snugly into the end of the straw. Fringe the ends with blunt tip scissors. Dip the unfringed end into craft glue, and insert into the open end of the straw (further secure by neatly winding the pipe cleaner around the end) and allow to dry. Smaller versions may be made with the extra large plastic drinking straws you can buy. Magical Potions: Bottled for All Medieval Partiers to Enjoy! These are easily found at dollar or craft stores—or you may just choose to recycle soda bottles or baby food jars. • Presweetened soft drink mix in several different colors. • Small funnel. Just open the containers, so that guests can choose their colors, and allow them to use a funnel and scoop to layer different colors in the bottles, and close with stopper. These are tasty to eat as candy or to use to create drinks later, at home.
