Handmade Mickey Mouse Pinatas

Creating a very special Mickey Mouse homemade piñata or handmade piñatas for your next party can be done simply by using a Mickey Mouse shaped balloon and covering it with paper mache. First of all, make your glue mixture by mixing two cups of flour with a half cup of water. If the mixture is too think then add a little more water until the texture is what you want. At this point, tear strips of newspaper into one to two inch strips and dip the paper into the glue and place on the balloon. Continue putting paper on the balloon until the entire balloon has been covered. Then allow the balloon to sit over night.

Once this has been done, slice a hole in the top area about two inches by two inches and then remove the balloon. After the balloon has removed begin decorating the balloon to look like Mickey Mouse. This can be done a variety of ways either by using a coloring sheet and gluing it on the balloon or actually painting Mickey Mouse features on the paper mached balloon. When the handmade piñatas have been decorated fill them with candy and treats. Then seal the top of the piñatas by adding paper mache strips over the hole. When the handmade piñatas have dried they are ready to have strings attached and hung up for the party.
