Although Minnie Mouse is usually a co-star in movies to Mickey, she has her own appeal, charm, and following, as well. Her real name was originally Minerva, and sometimes that alias is still used. She is also known as Queen Minnie or the Queen of Disney.

There are many movies that she has been in. And she was even in an Elton John video. He sings “Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart”, and instead of KikiDi singing the duet with him, it’s Minnie Mouse.

It might be a good idea to have a Minnie Mouse party, where this DVD is shown. If the kids don’t know the words, words can be provided to them in a type-written card. Or, if the television set has the Closed Captioning ability, this is always a great way to have the kids sing along.

Minnie starred in cartoons in the 1930’s, such as “The Picnic.” These classic cartoons would also be a great way to entertain children at a Mickey or Minnie Mouse party. They might even be encouraged to dress up as Disney characters. But the guest of honor should have the honor of dressing like Minnie Mouse. She usually wears a blue, pink, red, or yellow dress, and wears a giant bow on her head. Her high heels are clunky but fashionable.

And there will never be a difficult time finding party supplies that picture Minnie on them. Cups, paper plates, and napkins, too, can be part of your collection of supplies for this event. If it is a birthday party that is being celebrated, the kids might be seated just in time for a Minnie Mouse feature, as their Minnie Mouse cake is being served. A couple of Mickey Mouse Club episodes might be fun. And if it is Christmastime, there is no shortage of Mickey and Minnie Mouse movies about this great holiday. Try them out. They are “Mickey’s Magical Christmas,” “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas,” and Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas.”
