THEME RECIPE

Nascar Racing California Pizza
Nicky my niece loves nascar so for her soccer championship her mother and I decided to have a party for her and everyone in the team was invited. The theme was nascar, we prepared a California pizza for all the kids and their parents attending the party and it was exquisite and everyone loved it.
Dough:
1 cup lukewarm water (110 degrees)
2 packages yeast
3 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Pesto:
1 cup olive oil
2 cups fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 tablespoons pine nuts
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 onion, thinly sliced
1 sweet red pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
1 green peppers, seeded and sliced into strips
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon water
1/2 pound garlic and fennel sausage or sweet Italian sausage
3 ounces goat cheese
10 ounces Mozzarella cheese, coarsely grated
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons cornmeal
Prepare dough: Dissolve yeast in water and set aside. Mix
flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Make a "well" in the
center, pour in yeast solution and olive oil. Blend in the
flour using a fork, working towards the outside of teh well.
As dough becomes stiff, incorporate remaining flour by
hand. Gather into a ball and knead eight to ten minutes
on a floured board. Place in an oil-coated bowl, cover with
a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm, draft-free place until
doubled in size, approximately two hours.
Prepare pesto sauce using a blender or food processor.
Combine all ingredients exceptp cheese. Process but do not
create a puree. Stir in cheese. Set side.
Saute onions and peppers in one tablespoon olive oil and
water in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently
until peppers are soft. Drain and set aside. Brown sausage,
breaking into pieces as it cooks. Drain off excess fat. Chop
coarsely and set aside.
Preheat overn to 400 degrees. Spread remaining olive oil
evently over a 12--inch pizza pan. Sprinkle with cornmeal.
Punch down pizza dough, flatten lightly with a rolling pin,
turn and flatten with fingers. Place dough in pan
and spread to edges with finertips. Bake five minutes.
Spread pesto sauce over dough. Crumble goat cheese evenly
over pesto. Add onions and peppers, sausage, and cheeses.
Bake 10 minutes or until crust is slightly brown and
cheese is bubbly..
California pizza is great for all events, but this particular receipt is just out of this world I love the unique flavor it has and its rich seasoning.

| WITH THE HELP OF THE TOES: Two players compete in this game. To participate in this game the players must take their shoes and socks off and sit down on the low chairs. On the floor in front of each player there stand 2 plates. Near each plate there are 5 walnuts. The task of the players is to put 5 walnuts onto the left plate with the help of the left toes and 5 walnuts onto the right plate with the help of the right toes. Nascar Racing is growing in popularity amongst fans of all ages and both genders. It's not just a men's sport anymore. Now the women are getting involved in the sport as fans and as drivers! You're little ones are probably turning out to be big Nascar fans like their parents are too. In fact, a Nascar themed adult party menu can be just the thing for that next racing event.
If you are lucky enough to grow horseradish than a fresh crop will give you an opportunity to show off both culinary skills and agricultural abilities. First wash and peel the horseradish. Either grate by hand or use a food processor to chop very fine. Use eight tablespoons prepared horseradish, four tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice, four teaspoons dry mustard powder, twelve tablespoons of mayonnaise, two cups of sour cream and one teaspoon cayenne pepper. Chill the mixture before serving. A menu to highlight your horseradish will be best comprised of either roast beef sandwiches served on Kaiser buns or grilled London broil and prime rib. The remainder of the menu can highlight the other fresh garden vegetables of which you are undoubtedly both very proud and eager to use up! If nature has been very bountiful then you probably want to make a carrot or zucchini cake for this show off gardener’s party.
While a great party menu is essential for full and satisfied guests at your Nascar racing party, the activities can be just as important. Make sure you have some kids games that will distract your little ones when they get bored with watching the game. This can be coloring books, outside activities or a movie with cars in another room. After the party everyone can get together for some second helpings of your great menu foods or help clean up the Holiday party supplies! By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
