Be a downright ‘angelic’ host at a New Orleans Saints game, by supplying party guests with some ‘high flying’ handmade games.
“Saints and Sinners” is a trivia challenge that would make a perfect New Orleans Saints homemade game. Guests could stand in a circle and toss around a stuffed or plastic angel doll or small angel teddy bear; each person who catches the angel would be challenged to answer a trivia question such as “When was the Saints’ first Super Bowl win?” (Answer: Super Bowl XLIV in 2010), “What are the Saints’ signature colors?” (Answer: white and gold), “When did the team play its first game?” (Answer: 1967), “Who was the franchise’s first president?” (Answer: John W. Mecom, Jr.) and “Who was the franchise’s first head coach?” (Answer: Tom Fears). Prizes for correct answers could include everything from beautiful angels figurines (which should prove particularly popular among female guests) to New Orleans Saints jerseys, posters, decals, and bobble heads depicting popular team players such as Joe Horn.
Another handmade New Orleans Saints game is “An Angel for the Saints,” a game which doubles as a philanthropic project. During the course of this game, each person could pledge a monetary donation for a charity which supports the Hurricane Katrina relief effort in New Orleans—which, sadly, remains ongoing. The person pledging the highest dollar amount could win a beautiful hand carved angel figurine; or, perhaps even better yet, a front row ticket to a New Orleans Saints football game!
