A patriotic themed party can be useful for any number of good occasions. Really, there are almost too many reasons to throw such a party if you really try to look for them. Also on Memorial Day the flag is to be flown at half mast till noon.
There are plenty of things your can purchase to make you party a success, the most important things perhaps maybe to buy paper plates and cups. Also plastic utensils, paper napkins, table covers, place mats, and the like are all easy to come by as well as making after party clean far easier. Many other nice things that you can get are noise maker, streamers, banners wall scrolls, centerpieces, glow sticks, etc. If you really want to go all out you could even dress for the part with stars and stripes hats, and bracelets
