PARTY CRAFT IDEAS |
 |
Pink has always been a color that defined all things girlie, and now is no exception. If you are looking for a way to create soft lighting for a girl's room, consider this. Using a strand of clear, miniature Christmas lights, some pink ribbon, a balloon, and white craft glue, you can create such a light. Begin by Blowing up a large balloon. Tie it off. Dip your ribbon into the glue, and using your fingers, randomly wrap around the balloon. The ribbon must always lie flat against the balloon. Leave gaps and spaces in the ribbon. Don't try to cover the entire balloon. Hang to dry. When dry, stick a pin into the balloon to pop it, and fish out the pieces. Thread the Christmas lights through an opening, and pull the end with the plug through the top. Hang from a ceiling (like a swag lamp) and plug in for a wonderful pink light!
Think Pink Storage Containers Organization in the Pink!
Everyone accumulates dozens of white containers of the type baby wipes and make up remover towelettes come in. These containers are perfect for storing hair ties, cotton swabs, costume jewelry, crayons, and well, all the clutter in your little girl's room. To color these, saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover. Add a couple of marks of red marker to the bottom of the container, then 'remove' it with the cotton ball, and continue to wipe the entire container. It will have magically transformed to a pretty pink color. The box may be further decorated with craft items like 'pearls', 'gems', lace, glitter, or whatever you have lying around. It is sure to help your pink lover to find a place for everything, and keep everything in its place while being environmentally conscious at the same time! |
