That time of year again to start your party planning for your kids. They all have birthdays around the same time so you have decided to throw one party for them all, and this year it’s a pirate themed party. Of course when you decide to throw one party for several children you have to be careful not to get several different themes going, or bore one of the older kids with childish games. So as you plan a pirate party you are going need to allow them each to invite three to five children or friends to attend and the invitations can read “Captain (child’s name here) requests your presence on their pirate ship as a shipmate to assist in race for buried treasure” than when they come, allow each set of friends to work with their Captain and you will hand out treasure maps offering clues and historical markers that will eventually lead them all two ONE buried treasure.
There are several different ways to make this interesting for everyone and the pirate theme works for gets ages three up to thirteen if not a little older. Get out the history use facts about ships, or maps to create clues for the kids to use in order to get to the next spot on their treasure map, at the end of the map (the treasure) could be each of their birthday presents from you, and all of their guests, with food and prizes waiting for the guests as well, these can be simple door prizes or (fake) gold coins as well.
