Pokemon COOKIES

Making Pokémon cookies for a Pokémon theme party or as a gift for the Pokémon fan is a very simple process anyone can do. Pikachu is one of the most popular Pokémon characters and making Pikachu can be done in a few steps. Cut the head of full body Pikachu to the desired size. Larger cookies may take longer to make but will allow for the details to be applied more easily. Once the cookies are cut out then begin applying the yellow royal icing to Pikachu. Once the icing has dried then apply the black dots for eyes, black line for the mouth, red dots for the cheeks, and black tips for the ears. Outlining Pikachu in black royal icing is optional. For Pikachu’s open mouth use a light pink royal icing. Many of the Pokémon characters are very simple in detail so making many of the same or multiple characters, should not take too long. It is important to begin the cookie making process a couple days before the start of the party to ensure all the cookies are made in time. In addition, the cookies need time to sit over night to dry and they are ready to be served. Making larger quantities of cookies is very simple, especially if the party hosts has help. Smaller birthday parties may present the party host an opportunity to make Pikachu or other Pokémon party favors. Wrap Pokémon cookies in decorative party favor bags with curling ribbon and thank you notes attached.
