Your guests would enjoy poker party invitations made to look like oversized playing cards. Get pictures of your guests. If you have a cell phone, this won't be hard to do. Next, get color enlargements of the king and queen in each suit. Now, either scan the pictures of your guests and the playing cards and digitally replace the faces of the kings and queens with your friends faces or do it by hand. To do this by hand make the card enlargement, cut the faces of your guests out of the printed photos and glue them over the faces on the cards. Next make color photocopies of the enlargements with the guests faces. Now glue the photocopies to poster board and write the party info on the back.

Start your invites with a phrase like “Lady Luck, is inviting you to a great party.” Then add the basic party information: the time, date and place. Add a RSVP and a “reply by date”. Put any other info that your guests may need, like is it a “chip in” party. Should guests have a designated driver in each vehicle or be prepared for a two drink limit. If you add that last part be sure to tell the guests that the limit is because they are very important to you.
