Nothing says summer fun like a good ol’ fashioned pool party; and nothing sings summer fun like some ultra cool pool party music. One can't have a summer festivity without some cool tunes.

The ultimate pool party playlist will include songs that evoke images of sun, summer fun and of course, cool, clear water. They should make people want to dance, swim and sing along. These songs could include:

Summer Girls by LFO
Surfin USA by The Beach Boys
The Jaws Theme
Beach Blanket Bingo by Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon
Endless Summer Nights by Richard Marx
Vacation by the Go Gos
The Beach Song by Hans Zimmer
I’m in Miami Trick (Polka Dot Bikini) by LMFAO
Itsy Weenie Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini by Connie Francis
At the Beach by The Avett Brothers
On the Beach by Chris Rea
This diverse song list is sure to please everyone. And when planning the ultimate pool party playlist, the host also shouldn’t forget to pick up a robust selection of party supplies. These could everything from tropical drink umbrellas to beach balls in every color of the rainbow, to beachfront scene setters that will transport guests to an exotic locale of sun, sand and water. Real water—not to mention tropical drinks—can be served in party mugs that resemble cocoanuts, and pool toys that resemble whales and dolphins, along with more standard life jackets and inflatable safety rings, should be scattered throughout the pool area. These bright and beautiful accents will get everyone in the tropical mood. Creative suggestion: Avoid waiting until the last minute to pick things out or pick them up, no need to add more stress. Everyone does not drink alcohol, be inclusive when planning a get-together and have a choice of drinks that include non-alcoholic opinions. When decorating a room to match a given theme or idea explore not just the horizontal space, but the vertical space as well.

Homemade party supplies such as party streamers, balloon bouquets and temporary tattoos will make preparing for a Pool party a lot of fun! These pretty little accents can make the look of a party. Whether the party is held in your backyard or at another location, a variety of homemade party supplies and party goods such as beach balls, balloons and water guns will add a great deal to this Pool party. These are the symbols that serve to remind people of pools and outdoor fun. Handmade party streamers and personalized homemade banners will make the party more special. The addition of festive balloons, pool floats and water toys will make your party complete.

Creating handmade Pool party streamers and banners may take a little time, but will be great for the Pool party. And they really are fun to make, if devised the right way. First, using a long sheet of crepe paper cut the paper into three to four inch wide strips. Then lay one of the strips on a table and run a pencil down the entire strip causing it to crinkle and be wavy. As the paper twists it moves and turns this creates great paper streamers that compare to no other streamers around. The resulting effect will liken the waves of the ocean.

These Pool party handmade party streamers and homemade balloon bouquets are perfect for decorating for your pool party. In addition to these items, paper plates, cups and napkins in solid blues will be perfect party supplies. However, the handmade Pool party streamers and homemade balloon bouquets will receive a great review from family and friends.

Make a splash at the next neighborhood pool party with a festive Pool Party Cake! Guests always expect cake at a festivity, so make this a good one!

While hors d’oeuvres and tropical drinks are expected refreshments at a pool party, many guests will be surprised at the serving of a pool party cake. So why not make this unique confection as special, spectacular, and scrumptious as possible? Not to mention decorative, eye catching and totally theme relevant.

In order to make a truly original pool party cake, a host could prepare a basic sheet cake in any flavor they choose, from vanilla to cinnamon to chocolate, always a party favorite. Start with the basics and then add an aquatic touch! She then could top off this moist confection with thick ‘waves’ of aqua blue butter cream that liken the streams of a swimming pool; completing this picture with party supplies like tiny inflatable life preservers and dolls in swimsuits. This little pastry will look almost too good to eat!

Another option involves the serving of a pool party cake that fits the mood and theme of the festivity. A pineapple upside down cake, for example, would fit the bill at any outdoor party, as would a chocolate or vanilla cake topped with tropical fruit. Either treat would fit in perfectly at this type of event.

Guests at any water fest surely would enjoy a pool party cake; just make sure that they enjoy this treat at least 15 minutes before jumping in for a swim!

With summers getting warmer each year and global warming suspected to steadily make matters worse, you may find a pool party as an increasingly more attractive idea. Think about it even if you did have a party indoors the air conditioning bills would soar and what if the A/C breaks outright? That water would start to look more and more appealing. So why not throw a pool party with your friends since every one will be hanging out by the pool anyways? Just remember to bring lots of sun block.

A pool party themed will most obviously require access to a pool. There are many different pools in the world to use and you really should consider which one would be most convenient. If you have a pool yourself make sure it can handle a surplus of rowdy partiers, otherwise look into using a different pool, or maybe barrowing a neighbor’s and using two pools. Otherwise if you don’t have any friends with pools you should use a public pool, but make sure too call ahead they may have special restrictions in place. Also, make sure to have a lifeguard, or at the very least some people who can swim should take turns on the lookout.

Picking up a few floatation devices, sunscreen, lawn chairs, and various inflatables that you can throw in the pool is a great way to spice things up. Any outdoors items would be good such as even lawn chairs, or a barbeque grill for the food, a BBQ party is great for the guests. Paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils are all but necessary as normal silver ware and china simply doesn’t do well outside or when traveling if need be. Don’t forget the most important things of all, swimsuits, and towels to dry off. A heater or two would be nice if you’re out late and it gets cold.

Swimming pools are a frequent center of fun and recreation for people of all ages; so what could be more enjoyable than a Pool Party? These festivities are an expected part of the summer social schedule.

The first ‘pool parties’ perhaps were enjoyed by ancient Greeks and Romans, who gathered at scenic hot springs for bathing and socializing. These early festivities were probably celebrated sans cupcakes and pinatas!

Today’s pool parties take place at various swimming pools—Olympic-style, kidney shaped, and others—across the country. Some of these festivities are community events that take place at city pools, and that may involve activities like foam parties (in which people in bathing suits and summer fashions dance on decks covered with suds), barbecues, etc. Others are family or neighborhood events that happen at home pools, and that could entail games like Marco Polo and for the kids, water ball (games like baseball, soccer, etc., played with water-resistant equipment and sponge balls) and Barbie pool parties; indeed, a fully accessorized Barbie swimming pool is available on the market, and could be posted on deck at a kids’ Barbie pool party! People of all ages just can't get enough of lush tropical pool parties.

Modern pool parties of all varieties are likely to feature refreshments such as barbecued ribs, tropical drinks (punch for the younger set, wine coolers and beer for older folk), cookies and submarine sandwiches, etc. Just make sure that people wait 15 minutes after eating to jump in the pool! Some people prefer hanging out on deck to sunbathe and socialize, while others actually like a good swim, or even an informal swimming competition.

Through the years people have grown to take a more serious view of pool parties, this due to some of the dangers involved. Sadly, some accidental drownings have taken place at these parties, leading many hosts to post warning and regulation signs at the front door.

Overall, though, the Pool Party is a summertime institution that celebrates the sun, the water, and of course good friends. Plan a Pool Party today! When all is said and done, favors given to those guests who were able to attend will both feel appreciated and be reminded of the day whenever they look at that favor. Use unscented candles at a dinner, because the fragrance from the candle may not mix well with the aroma of the food. When all is said and done, favors given to those guests who were able to attend will both feel appreciated and be reminded of the day whenever they look at that favor. The history of Pool has different interpretations by each person, so use your own judgement. Share these facts with friends at a celebration.
