The Powerpuff Girls has a history full of superpowers. They also have a great story about three young kindergarten age children who wield superpowers with ferocity. Creator Craig McCracken helped to produce the show through Hanna Barbera until around the end of the year 2002. The show was an instant hit with its age group of fans and quickly soared to the top of the charts as it received five separate Emmy awards for achievements in animation.
The history of the Powerpuff Girls revolves around the three young girls known as Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles. They got their perfection when Professor Utonium decided he wanted to create the 'perfect little girls.' The Powerpuff Girls regularly find themselves needing to defend their town from a variety of monsters and other evil villains. And all the while dealing with their towns problems they still have to cope with the same issues of being a little girl that little girls all over the world have to deal with regularly. Thus their attraction to the perfect age targeted children for this series.
An interesting Powerpuff Girl fact is that their show takes place in the fictional City of Townsville, USA. Although it never references a particular area of location, it seems to reference many large cities worldwide such as Tokyo, LA, Paris, London and other well known major worldwide hub cities. And while the show takes on the minimalist look and approach it seems to garner plenty of attention from the exact age group it desires it from.
