Presidents Day Costume

President's Day started out as a celebration of President Washington's Birthday and also President Lincoln since the both of them had birthdays within the same month. Eventually, it came to represent a celebration of all our president's, giving them the same honor of a memorial day set aside to thank them for their time in office and contributions to the country and world.

This holiday is quite popular with teachers and schools because it gives them a chance to encourage learning, and to teach about American History in a fun way. After all, it's tough keeping a kid interested in history. One excellent way to celebrate this holiday is by having a mini party for the class. While you're at it you might as well make it into a costume party.

During this costume party you can get the kids to come in as their favorite presidents, Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy and more. Then give out prizes for the best presidential costumes.

Any adults who want to celebrate President's Day can also throw a costume party. Make sure it's properly themed with guests arriving in presidential gear or dressed as those associated with the presidency. A sexy FBI agent or two can certainly make an appearance or someone can come as the pilot of air force one pilot. Keep him or her sober, as they'll be flying later. Just kidding!
