Unique Red Hat Invitations
Red Hat invitations can be fun for both the guests and the host. Try sending a silk flower lapel pin in either red or purple. Once you have a lovely silk flower pin, pin it to the invitation. Your guest will be able to wear it to Red Hat events in the future, including the party. A pair of fingerless gloves in red or purple, the Red Hat colors with an invitation in one of the gloves would be a fun idea. Try getting red or purple feathers. Use long feathers, at least eight inches or more and include one with the invitations. The feather could be placed in the hat band of a bold red hat.

What To Say in the Invitations
In the Red Hat invitations consider writing or printing out the entire Red Hat poem or start with the first line “ When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.” From that point on start adding the basic info and a RSVP to the invite.

Thank You Notes
In the thank you notes continue the Red Hat theme. The notes could be red and purple. The notes could have a graphic of a red hat with a purple flower on it. Make sure the Red Hat Ladies know that you were happy they could come to your party. The note does not have to be long but try to make it personalized and always be sincere. Mail the thank you notes in about a week after the party. That is soon enough so the ladies know you feel they are very special.
