Retirement MENU IDEAS |
 |
After years of serving a company there is no better way to celebrate a retirement than by throwing an office party for the person who is retiring.
No matter what time of year the retirement occurs, a menu fit for a king will be the crowning addition to the party.
A great menu for an evening Retirement party would be would include Social Security Steak, White Belt Whipped Potatoes, Loud Shirt Lemonade, Early Bird Special Martinis and Denture Cream Cheesecake.
Creating White Belt Whipped Potatoes gather these ingredients: 5 pounds medium-size potatoes, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, 6 tablespoons margarine or butter, 2 teaspoons salt, divided, 1 container (8-ounce size) whipped cream cheese with chives,
2 cups heavy or whipping cream, 1/4 cup sliced almonds, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, and
Paprika.
After you’ve compiled the ingredients for White Belt Whipped Potatoes to serve at the retirement party be sure to peel potatoes; cut each into quarters. In 5-quart saucepan over high heat, heat potatoes, half the salt, and enough water to cover to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain well. Preheat oven to 375F. In large bowl, combine potatoes, cream cheese, garlic salt, pepper, 4 tablespoons margarine or butter and remaining salt. Mash potatoes until smooth. Gradually add heavy cream, mixing well after each addition. Grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish or shallow 3-quart casserole. Spoon potatoes into baking dish. Dot potatoes with 2 tablespoons margarine or butter; sprinkle with sliced almonds and paprika. Bake 30 minutes or until top is golden.
This menu for the retirement party will help make the night memorable. By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete Retirement theme party feeling. |
