Planning a safari party for your young ones birthday or for a classroom full of young kids can be a great opportunity for them to learn the history of different wild jungle animals and their habitats as well as fun filled facts that they wouldn’t generally learn from sitting in a classroom reading books. Now of course depending on where you plan on having this party you will be able to go through and have different station set up where the kids can get to know different plant life’s, color pictures, go out and get bags of soils and small flower pots allowing the kids to ‘plant’ their own ‘safari’ plants such as the zebra daffodils or other fun named flowers or plants. When you get all of this lined up ask your local game warden or conservation officer to come in and talk about the difference in safari animals and general wildlife in your area.
As you send out the invitations to the safari party ask them to bring butterfly nets, binoculars or anything else that they would want to use to catch wild animals in the jungle. If you are fortunate enough to live near the zoo take the kids on an expedition of your own, let them learn about the animals, see the sites, or again offer different stations where they can go around and get their hands dirty and do some hands on work. Use your imagination here with the food as well, zebra cupcakes, waters in canteens, and other fun items to make them really feel as though they are on a true safari.
