Everyone loves a good Secret Mission Impossible movie. You can capitalize on this popularity by throwing a Secret Mission Impossible party, complete with Secret Mission Impossible Menu.
Secret Mission Impossible movies are nearly as old as film itself. Whether you remember the zany antics of Get Smart, the sexy James Bond or the slick Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible; some elements of spy movies are recurring and can be used in menu planning.
Any proper Secret Mission Impossible movie needs a good bomb. You can recreate these by making up meatballs and using toothpicks or cherry stems as “fuses.” Break up 2 slices of white bread and soak in milk. Beat one egg and mix egg, one pound ground beef, bread pieces, salt and pepper and make into meatballs (small - about 1 inch in diameter). Roll meatballs through flour and brown in frying pan. Pour one can stewed tomatoes, two chopped onions and browned meatballs into a crock pot. Put a little water in the frying pan and stir to make gravy. Add gravy and one teaspoon Worcestershire sauce to the crock pot and cook at least 3 hours on high.
Cap off your Secret Mission Impossible holiday menu with high class cocktails, think “shaken, not stirred.” For dessert, decorate basic sugar cookies with icing in the shape of a question mark to add mystery.
Young or old, all guests will enjoy the intrigue and excitement of your Secret Mission Impossible menu. Keep things simple, elegant and mysterious and your party is sure to be a hit! By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete Secret Mission Impossible theme party feeling. |
