This fictional superhero has a longer history then some may think. Created and appearing in Amazing Fantasy comic books in 1962, the young orphan that would become Spiderman made his debut. This teen orphan who was raised by his aunt and uncle had just like other teenagers normal struggles to cope with in addition to the loss of his parents as well as his role as a costume wearing crime fighter. However, during the day and age when Spiderman made his first appearance teenagers in comic books were notoriously given sidekick status. But Spiderman was given all of the skills it took to make it on his own. He needed no sidekick and indeed one may have gotten in his way considering his talents.
The creators gave Spiderman skills that would certainly be responsible for him making it into the history books. Spiderman was able to cling to most any surface which enabled him to make hair raising climbs up the tallest of buildings. He could also shoot spider webbing and was gifted with innate spider sense that greatly increased his agility when fighting foes. His super human strength and natural agility made him a teenage force to be reckoned with.
The history of the character behind the superhero was a bit different. Peter Parker made his appearance as a lonely and downtrodden teen boy that many readers found themselves immediately able to related to. Without any other superhero mentors or a sidekick to learn from Peter Parker was even more on his own then any other young superhero before him.
