Little guys love Spiderman movies. When Halloween comes along, there are many Spidermen in the neighborhood trick-or-treating for goodies. So, when you’re having a Spiderman birthday party, be sure to have one or more of the movies on hand for “showtime.”

Building up to the movie, the guys can play Spiderman word games, quizzes, and maybe go on a Spiderman scavenger hunt. On a warm, sunny day, have them hunt for clues to solve a mystery. The clues can be hidden all over the backyard. When all ten clues are found, they will need to sit and put them all together to decide what the mystery solved. The solution might prove to lead to a treasure chest of Spiderman comic books, one for each of the guests.

Stan Lee was the creator of The Fantastic Four, which was a great success. The need that he recognized for teenagers to have more comic books led to his creation of Spiderman, who was supposed to be a teenager himself. First came the Amazing Fantasy comic book, introducing Spiderman. He was quite a success, and the story carried on from there, with a new comic book series entitled The Amazing Spiderman.

In 1970 even President Nixon saw that Spiderman was so popular that he asked for the comic strip to send a negative message about drugs. There were ongoing series from the 1970’s through part of the 1990’s, until his origin was completely revamped.

Probably the perfect safe toy for the guys to have a great time with at a Spiderman party is Silly String. It comes in various colors, and it doesn’t stain when it hits a surface or clothing. It sticks to things like a spider web, so the boys can have endless fun in the backyard with it. This might be something for the party supplies list to keep them active until they tire out for the movies.
