Handmade Sports Party Favors

What can be more fun than a Sports party; complete with a celebration of various sporting events and plenty of homemade party favors.

It may be a challenge to come up with handmade party favors for a Sports party; a festivity that honors a variety of competitive teams and events. Yet the creative party host can come up with some innovative ideas that will appeal to sports fans across the board.

Hosts with a taste for culinary party favors should make a batch of cookies, cupcakes or mints that contain symbols of various sports. Dark chocolate footballs could be baked alongside baseballs of ivory butter cream and angel food cake tennis balls, etc. Guests could select the sports ball treat that matches their favorite sport, or that simply looks the tastiest, and take it home in a small cake box that might be decorated with the logos of sports teams; logos applied with the use of markers, colored pencils, paints or craft stamps.

Crafty hosts might come up with homemade party favors that also liken these logos; and in a variety of forms. Using a marker, colored pencil or paintbrush, they could create the logo of a famous sports team on the surface of a plastic ball, bouncy ball, small yarn ball, or even a small decorative plate. Again, guests could take home emblems of their favorite sports teams, emblazoned on a party favor that could become a keepsake.
