What To Say in the Invitations
Sugar and Spice parties are perfect for a little girl’s birthday. When having a sugar and spice party send out invitations that give the guests’ parents the information they will need to get their little ladies ready for the party. If the little girls should be dressed up in their best princess like dresses be sure to make that point very clear on the invitation. While it is a child’s party still, this would be a great time to send out invitations worded in a very formal style. Consider wording like “Miss Nancy Walker the pleasure of your company is requested at a Sugar and Spice party on May tenth at half past two in the afternoon, at 857 Willow Lane”. Then add the RSVP and the reply date. Also place information like “attire: party dresses”. Put your contact information on the invitations to make the RSVP easy for the parents.

When To Mail the Sugar and Spice Invitations
For a Sugar and Spice party give the parent two to three weeks advance notice. This will give both the parents and the host time to prepare for the party. Some people may want to even send them a little earlier at about three to four weeks. Any longer than that is too long and make mean the invitation could be forgotten. However, since the parents may need a little while to get the party dresses ready, anything less than two week is much too short.

When To Mail the Thank You Notes
Mail your thank you notes within a week or two of the party itself. If you get the thank notes when you get the invitations it will make it much easier to get them mailed after the party.
