There are several Superman movies, comic strips, and trivia games that can keep your party guests busy, as they wait for show time. The games might be played in such a way that there are winners at the end of them. Be sure to have plenty of winners’ prizes available, and include them on your list of party supplies for the occasion.

A fun decoration and snack for the party guests might be a Krypton gelatin. Just use a green gelatin mix, or plain one and add green food coloring. Before it sets completely, you can carefully push several stars, planets, and spaceships. Or you can use edible glitter inside the gelatin. The kids will get a kick out of it.

For the movie marathon, get them ready and in the mood by giving out some older comic books for them to read. In fact, one of the prizes for winners of the games can be a vintage comic book, carefully wrapped, as it would probably be a collector’s item.

When they’re ready for show time, the first Superman movie would be a great place to start. Superman I and II were filmed simultaneously, so they both star Christopher Reeve. You can continue with Superman III, and just to mix it up a bit try playing Supergirl. Supergirl was released as a spin-off to Superman III in 1984. Then came Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, in 1987, and Superman Returns in 2006.

You will need plenty of popcorn and soda for this unique marathon, and be sure to provide party supplies that have the Superman logo on them. You may also want to have the kids take a break between movies with some healthier foods, and other activities, as well. Try a brief ball game outside, like Spud, or a couple of basketball matches. This should work off some of the popcorn, and the kids can get a chance to exercise between movies.
