Who does not love a good tailgating party with friends, family, food, and a tailgating piñata to smash to pieces. A tailgating piñata can be anything from a football to the opposing team’s logo or player. Showing dislike for another team or specific player is ok as long and no one is hurt in the process. Since a piñata is meant to be beaten for the candy inside create a piñata that is sturdy with multiple layers of paper mache. Have adults spin around several times before striking the piñata (use a blindfold if necessary). For children, raise and lower the piñata and give everyone a turn to break the piñata open.

Tailgating generally consists of older adults so ensure the piñata is tough to break. Start the piñata several days before tailgating so the piñata has time to dry. Apply tissue paper to the piñata or paint the desires details on such as facial features of a hated player or the team’s logo. For example, those making an opposing player use string for hair and beards. Fill the piñata with candy and even coupons fellow tailgaters to enjoy. Not everyone likes candy so coupons is just as good and who does not like saving money.
