Handmade Texas Holdem Party Favors

A Texas Holdem tournament represents the ultimate in gaming entertainment; one that deserves a great party and some homemade party favors.

Guests will love to hold, not fold, some primo handmade party favors at a Texas Holdem party. They could, for example, snack on candied poker chips, and iced brownies decorated to resemble playing cards.

These favors could be handed out in cloth or even silken bags that liken casino cash bags, perhaps with dollar signs marked on the front.

To add a Texas touch to the proceedings, the host could take a plain, unmarked deck of playing cards and draw, paint or stamp a small Texas map onto each card; or onto the surface of commemorative card boxes that guests could take home as homemade party favors. Additional favors could include carved Texas bulls, cows, cowboy hats and boots; or better yet, bulls and cows all dressed up in boots and hats.

And no Texas Holdem party would be complete without a centerpiece that depicts a paper mache hat or boot, and a mural that shows a larger version of a Texas map. Frosty mugs as big as Texas itself could be served up at the poker table, and a scene setter of a country western bar—complete with a mechanical bull, a fully stocked bar, a jukebox, and no nonsense cow folk lining the bar—would make guests feel like they’re at a real Texas Holdem tournament. And for wall art? A sleek copy of “Dogs (or Texas Bulls?) Playing Poker,” of course!
