The Incredibles Oriental Oranges
The Incredible Oriental Oranges are do delightful, my mom and dad just loved them. I tend to make it for them and my children often that way they have something to look forward for
A 'swiss' candy:
Servings: 4
12 lg Oranges
200 g Sugar (7 oz)
3 tb Grand Marnier or Cointreau
2 tb Grenadine syrup
This is Fredy Girardet's adaptation of an old recipe. It was traditionally
made with whole oranges peeled down to the flesh ... but the skin left
between the segments always spoiled it.
Peel the zest from the oranges in long strips, taking as little of the
pith as possible.
Cut the zest into very, very fine julienne strips.
Remove the pith in vertical strips to expose the flesh of the oranges.
Then, holding the oranges over a strainer with a bowl beneath to catch all
the juice, cut each segment away from the membranes that divide one from
another, and from the central core of pith.
Squeeze all the discarded membranes to extract every drop of juice, if any
flesh remains on them, and add it to the already collected juice.
Blanch the julienned zest in bouling water for 1 minute. Refresh in cold
water and drain in a sieve.
Put the sugar into a large, wide saucepan and cook over a moderate, steady
heat until the sugar melts and becomes a light golden color.
Add the collected orange juice and, stirring to mix well, cook until the
liquid has the consistency of a light syrup.
Add the julienned zest to the sysrup, as well as the liqueur and the
grenadine syrup. If a scum forms, remove it with a spoon as if you were
making jam. Bring it briefly to the boil.
Add the orange segments and shake the pan well so that they all absorb the
syrup. They should be hot, but they should not be allowed to cook. Set the
pan aside.
Add another drop of liqueur to the pan.
Serving:
Arrange the segments on four plates to look like stars. Coat them with the
sysrup and decorate with the julienned zests.
Alternatively:
Serve the oranges in a fruit dish, with a selection of some other fruit
desserts.
Oranges are very good and rich in vitamin C, so why not try these incredible oriental oranges and get the best of both worlds.

The Incredibles GAMES &
Activities

 |
| CENTIPEDES: In a spacious room you can arrange centipedes race. The players form up in 2 lines in file with their hands on the waists of the players in front of them. Near the opposite wall there stands a chair or a flag. On hearing the signal of the leader the teams run round the chair or the flag and return back. While running one cannot take his/her hands off the waist of the person in front of. If the chain is broken the team looses the game. The team also looses the game if it overturns and doesn't lift the chair or the flag. The game may be funnier if you ask the teams to run round the chair or the flag squatting. Lots more

The Incredibles MENU IDEAS |
 |
The Incredibles are a family just like everyone else’s. They have a brother, a sister, a baby and a mom and a dad. Why they are practically the perfect nuclear family with one exception, their superpowers. They are also perfect for themed parties. If you have kids who are really into superheroes and superpowers then go ahead and throw them a The Incredibles themed party. Don’t forget to create a tasty menu for the kids party too.
Only a Super powered menu will suffice for your The Incredibles party. Appetizers are Strongman Breadsticks and Cheese Dip, The Iceman Mint Cookies, and Stretch Out Taffy. All of which you can find fun recipes for. The main course will be something fun for everyone in Flaming’ Chicken. It’s fairly easy to make, just get some extra hot, wing coating and purchase a bag of boneless wings. While they are heating in the oven you should coat them every few minutes with the wing sauce. Serve up with a cooling ranch dip or cheese sauce. The dessert can be fun Nearly Invisible Jello in different flavors for the guests at The Incredibles party to gobble up.
The Nearly Invisible Jello is easy to make. You may even find some packets of clear flavored Jello mix at the store. Otherwise you can buy a package of clear gelatin and mix up as you would regular gelatin with hot water and sugar. Flavorings can be picked up in the baking aisle of the nearest store. Many of them are clear and you can mix up a couple of bowls of different flavors for the kids to have fun guessing which flavor they’ve ended up with. Another fun thing to do is purchase a bag of jelly beans and drop one or two beans into each tray of an empty ice cube tray. Then pour the cooling Jello into the trays. Let cool and pop out. Each Jello cube will have a jelly bean suspended in it.
With these and a few other fun menu ideas you’re the Incredibles party will be a tasty smash hit. Don’t forget to sit down and watch The Incredibles after everyone’s eaten at the party. By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete The Incredibles theme party feeling. |
