Stars of their own animated Disney/Pixar film, The Incredibles is a family of super heroes (and heroines) that have emerged as icons of popular culture—all the while inspiring their own brand of ‘super’ trivia facts.
The host of an Incredibles talk party could kick things off by sharing a bit about the film’s history. Released in 2004, The Incredibles is the story of a family of undercover superheroes (headed by Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl) who, while trying to lead a quiet life in the suburbs, are forced back into action for their most important mission yet: to save the world. Directed by Brad Bird, this film features the super star voices of Craig T. Nelson, Samuel L. Jackson and Holly Hunter. The film grossed $631,442,092 worldwide, and won two Oscars in 2005; for Best Achievement in Sound Editing and Best Animated Feature Film of the Year. Plus the movie garnered no fewer than 10 Annie Awards, given for excellence in animated features, and inspired two video games (“The Incredibles” and “The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer”) along with two video short films, “Jack-Jack Attack” and “The Adventures of Mr. Incredible.” And it has spawned a rich merchandise line, with related items including magnets, stickers, themed school supplies, spinning tops, activity blocks, and movie posters and magazines.
Kids will have a super time at The Incredibles party; especially one which comes complete with some all powerful trivia facts that they can IM, Tweet, or video chat to other fans of the film who could not be in attendance at the party. Power up for an incredible time.
