Every little girl loves Tinkerbell, so why not have a party and include this well loved fairy with her glittering wings? In addition to the cake, plates, cups, and other party theme items, let the kids have a fun time making a Tinkerbell of their very own. For this project you will need the following: • White coffee filter • Green food coloring • Wood clothes pins for crafts • Craft pens (fine tip) • Yell yarn • Medicine dropper Before the start of the party, spray paint the clothespins with white paint and flatten the coffee filters to make circles. Make sure to cover the area where the children will be working, and then mix the green food color with water into several bowls. The purpose of the medicine dropper is for the children to drop green food color onto the coffee filters. Make sure they know they don't need much because the color will spread. While the filters are drying, you can help the girls cut small amounts of yellow yarn and glue it to the top of the clothespin for Tinkerbell's hair. Make faces on the head of the clothespin with the craft pens. To make Tinkerbell's wings, scrunch up the coffee filter and insert it in the clothespin. You can vary the color by painting the clothespins green and leaving the coffee filters white thus making white wings with a green body. The craft is quite easy to make, and the girls will enjoy having their own Tinkerbell to take home after the arty.
