If the costume requirement is omitted at your Toy Store party, then a cute Toy Story party game might be that each of the children can be given a certain prop that will assign them to be one of these characters. They can role-play and think up adventurous stories throughout the day. It would be fun to give each of them a paragraph or a piece of a story, along with their prop, so that it is a mystery to put together what comes first in the tale. As the tale becomes a story, in whatever order the children decide, you can add another element of excitement by letting them know that every time a certain parent comes into the room, they all have to flop down like unanimated toys. Then they come alive again, when the parent leaves.
