To make Jessie the Cowgirl cookies you will need to use the following recipe.
1 Roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 Tube of decorators piping frosting
1 Batch of red Royal icing
Royal icing works the best because it hardens on the cookie giving it a candy like shell. Use the following recipe for Royal icing.
4 cups of powder sugar
3 Tablespoons of meringue powder
½ cup of warm water
Red food coloring
Mix the powder sugar and meringue powder together until mixed well. Beat in the water until water on high speed until it is very glossy and stiff peaks form. Use the food coloring to color the frosting to a deep red.
Assembling the Toy Story Jessie the Cowgirl Cookies is very easy, just follow the following steps.
Bake the cookies according to the package and let cool
Spread the red Royal frosting on the cookies and let harden
Use the tube of frosting to place a small dime sized dot of frosting in the middle of the cookie
Place a red gumdrop on top of the frosting
