Valentines Day is so much different when you are an adult than when you were a child, and this might be a great start of a friendly conversation at a Valentines Day gathering. When we were children, and it was puppy love, and we had no idea of what that kind of love was really supposed to be like, we worried. We wondered and worried whether or not we were going to get a Valentines Day card, or if we even wanted one.
As we became teenagers, Valentines Day became more significant, and it was a special day if you had a date for that evening. Do other people at this party feel the same way? And now that you are an adult, is Valentines Day still important? Of course it is. One never tires of being admired by another. One never gets sick of being asked out to dinner. And holding hands is one of the most loving things two people can do, regardless of their ages.
Valentines Day can be celebrated many ways, and you might want to share how some surprise Valentines have come about in your life, or ask about others’ Valentines Day surprises. How many boxes of chocolates have these guests received in their lifetimes? This may bring a chuckle to their faces, especially if they love chocolate. And even though Valentines Day is supposed to be romantic, there are plenty of grandparents out there that celebrate by sending their grandchildren stuffed hearts, chocolates, and other candies and gifts. It is, after all, the celebration of love. And love can be celebrated in so many ways, as there are so many different types of love.
