Veterans Day Costume
This holiday, Veterans day, was set aside to help remember and honor those who served during times of war. It is often a serious holiday that many use for contemplation. Some family's will also use it to get together and celebrate being together and even those in the family who served. While it is an important event to remember it can also be a time to get together with friends and those you served with to have fun because you still can.
So, for this holiday consider setting up a costume party. Many will already have their own costumes in the form of old uniforms that they can pull out. This is a good way of remembering the holiday as well. The veterans on this holiday will often wear their uniforms in parades as part of a celebration. Why not hold a block parade with everyone in their uniforms?
For other guests at a lighter themed costume party there's always the fun bugle babe look. This can be a little saucy for the family party. You may wish to preserve these costumes for a party held later in the evening. If its children's party ideas you're looking for consider the soldier boy costume. or you can have the kids dress up as Sailors, pilots, Marines and other members of the military.
No matter which way you decide to go with your costume party for veterans day, you'll find there are plenty of ideas out there. All you need to do is go looking for them. And if all else fails buy a costume.
