A Washington Redskins party needs more than just great food and party supplies to make it special. Select a football theme playlist to get the blood and heart pumping. Use a variety of D.C. songs and bands such as:

Magnetic Fields – Washington D.C.
Skip James – Washington D.C. Hospital Center Blues
Mambo Sauce – Welcome to D.C.
The Simpsons – The Mediocre Presidents
Postal Service – The District Sleeps Alone Tonight
Jimmy Newman - Washington D.C.
Ellis Paul - Washington D.C.
The Hint - Dead City
Bad Brains – Banned in D.C.

Football songs do not have to be pump up songs or specific football songs either. Select bands from the local Washington area. The best thing songs to choose from are those that are high in energy. Do not forget to include Redskins party supplies such as posters, banners, tableware items, balloons, and anything related to the Redskins. Homemade party decorations are also an option to. Try making a homemade banner or signs of the Redskins by painting the logo and team name on a large sheet of paper. Now, the party supplies are set, the music is playing, the food is prepared, all there is left to do is have fun with family and friends. Inspirational thought: Make sure the camera has batteries that are charged and extras on hand for backup. Simple and well prepared food is often much better received at a gathering than complicated dished that don't quite hit the mark. The right favors given to the guests will allow them to remember that day many years from now.

Homemade party supplies such as personalized banners, signs and handmade t-shirts are great for a Washington Redskins party. Homemade party supplies such as handmade party streamers, Washington Redskins uniforms, stuffed Washington Redskins footballs and inflatable Washington Redskins tomahawks will be a great addition to the party. Party goods such as Washington Redskins paper plates, napkins, sports cups and Washington Redskins water bottles will make preparing for a Washington Redskins a lot of fun! Homemade party supplies such as Washington Redskins banners, streamers and Washington Redskins garden flags will make your party complete.

Handmade Washington Redskins streamers and homemade Washington Redskins banners will add a lot to the Washington Redskins party decor. Additional party goods such as multi colored glow sticks, beach balls, Washington Redskins jerseys and temporary Washington Redskins party tattoos will make your Washington Redskins party a hit.

For the most part, handmade Washington Redskins party supplies such as balloon bouquets, party streamers, windsocks and handmade Washington Redskins party wall décor items will be added extras to your party. Most people find no comparison between a traditional windsock and a handmade windsock that has been personalized for your Washington Redskins party.

Furthermore, other homemade party supplies such as Washington Redskins banners, garden flags, placemats and centerpieces can be personalized for the party. No party is complete without the following additional Washington Redskins party supplies, such as Washington Redskins paper plates, napkins and cups, along with Washington Redskins water bottles, Washington Redskins fashion jewelry, straws, noise makers and crayons for games.

Throwing a birthday party with a Washington Redskin cake will make any fan of the team more than happy. Take the Redskins logo and implement it on the cake – either by tracing using a needle to prick the sheet of paper with the logo or cake transfer paper (which is a more involving process). Edible Washington Redskins cake images are also available as well. The use of fondant properly can take the cake to the next level. Place the colored fondant over the round, rectangular, or square cake and cut away the access edges. Fondant cracking is common so do not freak out. To smooth out the cracks use the solid vegetable shortening and smooth the cracked area together, using a circular motion (avoiding using water). Ensure a layer or buttercream is places on the cake followed by the fondant. To color the fondant, add bits of concentrated icing color until the desired colors are achieved. Knead the fondant until the burgundy and yellow color appear.

A Washington Redskins cake, with other Redskins party supplies, will make the celebration truly one to remember. Making teamed theme cake is not difficult but requires patient and the necessary caking materials.

Have over your fellow Redskins fans for a Washington Redskins party. Start your Redskins party with a tailgate party. The tailgate party can be held in your backyard or a nearby park if you are going to watch the game at home. It can also be held outside the stadium if you are actually attending the Redskins game with your friends. Serve up simple tailgate party food such as burgers and potato salad on red and yellow colored plates. Some activities to enjoy during your Redskins tailgate party include playing bean bag toss with a Washington Redskins themed set and playing catch with a football.

If you are hosting the Washington Redskins party at your house, continue it as a game viewing party when the Redskins game starts. Have on hand plenty of drinks to keep your guests content during the whole game. You might even want to just put a cooler filled with ice and drinks in the room you are watching the Redskins game, so no one has to leave the room to get a drink and risk missing a key play. Also, set out some snacks such as pretzels, chips, and fresh veggies in football shaped trays.

Decorate for your Washington Redskins party indoors and outdoors. You set up a banner that says “Welcome Redskins Fans” outside to welcome guests to your party as they arrive. Streamers in the Redskins team colors of burgundy and gold work good as indoor decorations. Burgundy, gold, and football shaped balloons are good for decorating both inside and outside.

Washington, D.C. is the home of the Washington, Redskins and their burgundy and gold redskin décor. Like most teams, the Washington Redskins have their history. Winning championships is important to all NFL teams, but have a winning tradition is much more important. The winning tradition that had been established by the Redskins is incomparable to many other NFL teams. Most people realize that in order to have a winning and successful team, they must have winning and successful players. Some of the most notable Washington Redskins players were: Sonny Jurgensen, Cliff Battles, Ken Houston and Wayne Miller. These men, along with many others have made the Washington Redskins what they are today. Get creative by using poster board and LED lights to make your own light up banner or message.
