The Wiggles history comes straight from down under in the land of Australia. Begun in 1991 the original cast included members such as Greg Page, Jeff Fatt and Anthony Field. The idea may have originated when Fatt and Field were active members of a pop band known as The Cockroaches in the mid 1980's. However as life moved on both had decided on becoming preschool teachers as lifelong careers. However, during a school projevt when they were forced to create a musical recording they decided that it may indeed be their true calling and declared the need to pursue that venue.
The resulting history shows that they have found the perfect way to combine music and childhood development and learning that creates a spellbound aura for the children surrounding them watching. They have since created many videos, television series and helpful live shows that enable them to captivate and teach children at the same time which is no small feat for this feisty age group they target.
The group finally figured out how to truly make their mark on history by franchising their concepts and marketing them to other countries. Their success and fan base has only grown in the years since their inception. They have to date earned great status and millions of dollars in awards and advertisements in their journey to combine music and learning effectively for a young age group of children. Their sales have exceeded over seventeen million dollars to date.
