The Wiggles are a musical group that got started in Australia, and although they do not have a movie out, they are very popular. They tour nationally now, and they are adored by kids all over the globe. They have shows on television, on stage, and you can sing along with them to songs like “Get Ready to Wiggle,” and “Mr. Wiggle’s Back In Town.” They have even visited NASA.

The group formed in 1991, and two of the group members are from a popular rock band called the Cockroaches, which was famous in Australia in the 1980’s. As a couple of them were teachers, their first tour actually began with a school project. There are five band members, but other regular characters have since become very popular with their shows. Some of them are Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, and Henry the Octopus.

As the kids are waiting for show time, it would be very easy to turn this occasion into a dance party. Just play the songs that the Wiggles are famous for, and encourage dancing, singing and having a great time on a stage-like setting in the media room or party room. Party supplies might include glow-in-the dark stars for their background, so that they can feel like stars as they dance and sing to the group’s most popular numbers.

When it time to watch some of the television shows and specials they have done, the stage will either become the place to watch the show, and the kids will be seated in front of it, or if it’s easier, the stage can become the place where the kids all sit, and the DVDs are played in front of them.

Either way, they should work off enough energy to sit, relax and enjoy the Wiggles shows, with a snack and drink on a Wiggles plate and cup.
