Work Costume

Coming up with the perfect work costume for a party is actually easier to do than one might think. After all, the disco era saw the Village People make costumes out of a number of different work outfits! Some work outfit you may want to consider include a Firefighter, a motorcycle police officer and a Pilot. The idea, when it comes to a work costume for a theme costume party, is to take a typical work outfit and improve upon it. Even better; most of these kinds of costume selections lend themselves well to actually being made in a homemade fashion.

Consider going to the costume party as a doctor, for one. All that’s needed is a simple children’s plastic doctor’s toy set – including stethoscope and ophthalmoscope along with a tongue depressor and even an instrument bag – and a white lab coat. If one wants to take that costume and parody it, just add a pair of those plastic eyeglasses with the large nose and mustache attached and don the whole ensemble. Of course, one will look like a doctor from a Marx Brothers movie, but that’s probably the point. And this is just one of a dozen different work costumes that can be created easily and in a homemade manner.

Almost every one of them can be created in a homemade fashion, and just about every work costume can be assembled quickly and easily, and usually from already-existing household items.
