Yu Gi Oh is a popular Japanese manga cartoon with a rich history in Asian culture. This interesting show has not only spawned trading cards and video games but also many anime shows and a variety of animated series. Relying heavily on influence from another trading card game known as Duel Monsters, this series spawned a huge order of franchise marketing in a large variety of different methods.
The history of Yu Gi Oh is a tale Yugi, a high school student who is given the pieces of an ancient Egyptian piece called the Millennium Puzzle, by his grandfather. As the story flows this piece holds the secret to many lost ancient types of knowledge and it is the responsibility of Yu Gi Oh to solve the mystery.
Yu Gi Oh's history continues on in the later series created for this character and gained popularity all over the world with their trading card game as well as awesome ratings on video games produced for this series. Early chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh can feature a variety of different games that use holographic tubes. The rules for the duels are quite complex and for this reason most of the younger children did not indulge in the more complex aspects of Yu Gi Oh but were supremely satisfied with the fact that duels can happen anywhere and they were more than glad to watch their 'elders' compete in this fantastic game. Kids all over the world have learned this nature of trading card game and Yu Gi Oh gave them yet another format to build and create their perfect duel.
